About the HUD CoC Competition
As the lead agency for the homeless Continuum of Care, UNITY of Greater New Orleans prepares the consolidated application for funding under HUD’s CoC Program for the community of New Orleans, Jefferson Parish and Kenner.
The FY2026 HUD CoC Program Competition opened on June 1, 2026 with the release of the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) which includes federal funding priorities for individual projects and competition scoring criteria for communities to compete for the national funding. The CoC Program Notice of Funding Opportunity NOFO. Documents related to each process are available at the link here. The NOFO also describes the criteria for local funding competition operated by each Continuum of Care to advance federal goals and address local system needs. The FY Competition ends when the final funding announcement is released by HUD.

2026 CoC Funding Priorities for RFPs
Local funding priorities approved by the CoC Governing Council after receiving input from faith-based organizations, local government, homeless service provides, people with lived experience, and community members. Available June 29.
