Important! The Local CoC Funding Competition is PAUSED.
Friday, December 19 - The CoC Governing Council decided to pause the local competition and not continue with the original timeline. Once the HUD CoC NOFO is re-released, the CoC Governing Council will consider any changes that need to be made to local funding priorities, including project performance scores, project rankings, and new funding availability. After those decisions are made, applicants for new and renewal funding will have an opportunity to submit revisions to the CoC

Funding Year 2025 Continuum of Care Program Local Competition
UNITY of Greater New Orleans is the collaborative applicant for the CoC and coordinates the local application for submission to HUD for the homeless Continuum of Care (CoC) in New Orleans, Jefferson Parish, and Kenner (LA-503). This page provides information for the community about the local process for funding to be included in the community application to HUD.
HUD published the FY 2025 Continuum of Care Competition and Youth Homeless Demonstration Program Grants NOFO on Nov 13, 2025. The CoC Consolidated application is due on January 14, 2026. Applications for individual projects are due to UNITY no later than December 15, 2025 to be considered for inclusion in the community application. Community Listening Session: Please attend a virtual community listening session. We encourage attendance by faith-based organizations, people with lived homeless experience, community members, health care providers, affordable housing providers, substance use treatment agencies, behavioral health providers, homeless service organizations. Your ideas and input will help inform our community’s unified application to HUD that reflect community needs through funding priorities that will be decided by the CoC Governing Council.
Project Applications for New and Renewal Projects
Monday, December 1, 2025:
NEW CoC Projects: The CoC announces that Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for New Projects is available for Supportive Service Only (SSO) and Transitional Housing projects, including models for tenant based rental assistance. RFP Responsesare due to UNITY by Monday, December 15, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) CT. Please see additional information for New CoC Projects here.
Renewal CoC Projects: Applications and scoring sheets have been sent to all project sponsors that have passed threshold review. Applications with all attachments are due to UNITY by Monday, December 15, 2025 by 12:00 p.m. (noon) CT. Please see additional information for Renewal CoC Projects here.

Project Priority Listing: List of projects submitted to the CoC for inclusion in the community's application to HUD listed in order of funding priority with project priority score and funding amount as approved by the CoC Evaluation and Project Selection Committee.

Submission of CoC Application to HUD: UNITY will submit the CoC Application for funding to HUD which includes 1) Consolidated Community Application which describes the coordination and system performance; 2) Prioritized List of Projects Submitted for Funding; 3) Individual Project Applications.
